The owners of a small, converted 1800s carriage house in Chicago’s Wicker Park neighborhood needed more space and wanted an open plan configuration. The first floor was renovated and access was created to the front, back, and side yards. Thus, the interior space became one large open kitchen, living, family, and dining space. The second story contains two bedrooms one bathroom and a new guest suite. The new third story addition comprises the master suite and two private decks. A unique exterior was created using a composition of cost efficient materials.
