This new construction home is located on a long, narrow lot in the Pilsen neighborhood of Chicago. With only a few feet between the neighboring homes, the design features large expanses of glass in the front and back of the house to capture the morning and afternoon sun. Interior spatial volumes are defined on the exterior by wood or stucco; these volumes sit on an exposed concrete base.

One of the unique interior spaces is the boys’ bedroom, which features a two-level open space with sleeping lofts that look down to two separate study/ play areas below. Ample access to the outdoors is provided throughout the home with three decks and a rooftop garden. Wooden screens wrap around the exterior spaces to filter the sunlight and provide privacy.
