Prior to joining Scrafano Architects in 2009, Charlotte worked at SOM Chicago, Peter Stutchbury Architects in Sydney Australia, and Bruce Mau Design, where she was involved in residential and commercial projects as well as exhibit and graphic design.
Charlotte earned a bachelor’s in Environmental Design from the University of Colorado in Boulder in 2003 and then traveled to Sydney, Australia, to participate in the Glenn Murcutt Master Class. She has a Master in Architecture from the University of Michigan in 2008.
She enjoys sitting on architecture reviews for the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, IIT, and UIC, attending lectures and Pecha Kucha events in Chicago. She played lacrosse in college and enjoys swimming in Lake Michigan and skiing.
Her favorite thing about architecture is drawing on trace paper, visiting construction sites and looking for inspiration in nature.
She, her husband Peter (also an architect), and their two boys live in Traverse City, Michigan where they find themselves moving into one renovation project after another.
