After graduating with a Bachelor’s of Architecture from Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc) in 2003, Carolyn returned to her hometown in the suburbs of Chicago. She worked in the Scrafano Architects’ Chicago office for several years before moving to Long Beach, California. After several years working for various architectural firms, she returned to the Scrafano Architects family―only this time in the Los Angeles office.
In her free time, Carolyn enjoys making jewelry, creating invitations and event party planning, photography, listening to country music, and going to concerts with her friends. Disneyland makes her feel like a kid again, so she makes a point to go with her husband as often as possible. She takes long walks after work on the beach near her home in Long Beach.
Carolyn views architecture as a way to improve people’s quality of life. As a result, her favorite projects are residences, because they have the most direct effect on people’s lives.
